Location
Banff is a town in the Alberta Rockies province of Alberta.  It is the larger of the two towns in Banff National Park, nestled in the mountains, and is located about a hour and half drive west of Calgary and four hours south of Jasper.

Closest International Airport : Calgary: 2 hours drive
From Vancouver: 9 hours drive
 From Lake Louise: 45min drive


From Calgary, take the Trans Canada Highway (Route 1) West. The first exit to Banff is about an hour and a half from the airport. There are several airport shuttle providers from the Calgary Airport to Banff and Lake Louise.

Shuttle buses
During ski season, regular shuttle bus services operate between Banff and the Ski Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise ski areas.

The village of Lake Louise is is located 60 kilometres from the town of Banff in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Lake Louise is a year round destination for both Canadian and international holiday makers.

From Banff: 1 hour by bus
Closest Town is Banff: 60km drive
Transfers from Baniff to Lake Louise: 1 hour by bus


Commonly you’ll need to fly into Calgary Airport on an cross-border flight from the United States or a domestic flight from Vancouver. Bus transfer is the most convenient and economical way to get to Lake Louise from Calgary Airport. The bus to Lake Louise takes about 2-3 hours depending on road conditions and your drop off point. Another option is hiring a car for a scenic drive from Calgary to Lake Louise.
